Hi, this is Steven. And today we’re gonna be taking a look at how to use your new vape kit for the first time. This blog is aimed at those who are starting their vaping journey. So as always, we’ll do our best to keep things simple.

1. Prepare
When you get your kid for the first time, it’s a good idea to check that everything is there that should be. We always recommend taking a look at the manual and giving it a quick read-through if you’re using it for the first time. It’s very tempting to set it up and start vaping immediately. But some details do trip some people up, but the good news is, for the most part, that they’re fairly simple in the way that they fit together and work.
2. Charge
Once you’ve checked that everything is there, it’s probably a good idea to go ahead and put your battery on charge. Most devices will have an LED light that will show you when it is fully charged. You can check the manual to find out what lights correspond to. What if your device has an LED screen, and you plug it in? You’ll be able to see a battery bar fill up until it is fully charged. If you’ve gone for a pod or cigarette-style kit and a battery is fully charged, you can actually go ahead and slip those pods on. Or if you have that cigarette system, you can go ahead and screw it on and just start vaping. If, however, you’ve gone for a kit with a refillable tank, it’s probably a good idea to start filling your tank.
3. Check Coil
Now the device is open. I’m gonna go ahead and check the coil to make sure it’s nice and tight. So quick twist there to the right. Make sure there’s no give. Once that’s done, I can go ahead and start filling the tank. So I’m gonna go ahead and start filling this slowly. I wanna make sure that I don’t overfill. Most devices will have a max line that you can fill up to. Filling over this line will cause a bit of an overflow and just get juice everywhere. If you have a device that Top fills and has a chimney, you want to make sure you don’t get any juice down this chimney, as it will, cause a bit of gurgling and spitting. And it’s just not meant to be there. Once it’s all filled up, I can go ahead and put it back together.

From here, I’m gonna go ahead and leave it for about 10 to 15 minutes. This gives the device long enough time for the liquid to soak into the coil and avoid something called a dry hit. A dry head happens when there isn’t enough liquid in the cotton. And it will burn some of the wickings. If you try to vape it, these taste awful, really bad. It is one of vape mistakes So give it a bit of time to soak through and you can avoid anything like that. If you have something like a vulnerable or a closed pod system, or like the cigarette, can’t just go ahead, just inhale as if there are no buttons to press. You just use it into hale-like so simple as if you have a device that requires a button to be pressed to vape, it’s usually the biggest one. And other devices have a few more buttons on them. But again, the fire button is the biggest one on the device.
4. Turn on
The next thing to do is to turn your device on, most vaping devices require five quick clicks, like 1,2,3,4,5. There you go. I’ll turn it on. Some devices use three, but mainly it is five. If you are ever in doubt, though, do check your manual, you have your advice, and you are just about ready to start vaping.

5. Power level
But now the question is, what power do I have on? What do I like to do with this particular kit? As I’d like to go down to the lowest wattage possible from there, I’ll increase it by a few watts each time and give a quick, little vape until I find that sweet spot or a spot that I’m quite comfortable with, I don’t want to go too high on the power, because it might lead to damaging the coil or giving what’s called a burnt hit or dry hit that we mentioned earlier.
So wanna find the comfortable point and then stick with that. Because vaping doesn’t burn away like a cigarette. You might find your device is just glued to your face and you start weeping a lot more. This has its drawbacks. You might find that you start getting nicotine headaches because you’re just using it too much. A general rule of thumb is that if you’ve needed 5 minutes in the past for a cigarette, you might need about 10 minutes of vaping just to get the same satisfaction. If you feel you’re vaping a bit too much, leave about 10 to 20 seconds between each puff and ask yourself, would I go for a cigarette right now? If I didn’t have this? And if you would go ahead and wake up a little bit more, and if not, just put it down, for now, when you’re more used to the way vaping feels, you can start taking longer or harder polls, if you wish. If you have a device that has a few more settings, you can start on low power and work your way up to a setting that feels satisfying for you.
6. How you inhale
Lastly, it does sound kind of silly, but we should mention how you inhale on your device. So we mentioned before about the style devices. They’re similar to a cigarette because they have a mouth-to-lung style of vaping. In that, you inhale into your mouth, and then it goes into your lungs. If you have a more powerful device or a sub-ohm device, they have a slightly different style of inhaling. This one’s called direct lung vaping. Quite simply, it’s just like breathing in. You hold the fire button down because it has an increased airflow. You just inhale naturally. That’s all there is to it. You should now be able to box your kit, charge your battery and fill your tank. Without any issues, please do like and get back to us. It goes a long way, and we have plenty of other blogs.
